This weeks sketch at Veckans Skiss

This week it´s Tanjas turn to make a sketch. You can see it here!

I was inspired of the flags and the layers. Here is my take:

Title: ”Dream team”

I have followed Tanjas sketch pretty much. I got a single photo, some layers behind it and some circles and flags. I have documented the boys development when they where little and now I have used some of it here in the journaling.

The lovely bike is from Jillibean Soup……

A piechartwheele from Echo Park. It´s a pattern paper so I cut this one out….

Stickersflags from Lilybee Design…

Thanks for stoping by!

Have a great midsummer!

I hope you join us this week! Read all about how you do to join in here!

Christmas card in mixed media style

A couple of days ago I was challenged by Cecilia Ekström to make a christmascard in mixed media style with the colors turqouise and brown, easy peasy NOT:) but here it is:

I covered a bit of cardstock with turqouise acrylic paint. On top of that I used dylusions stencil ”Ooh christmas tree” . The stars are made of another dylusions stencil. I also used my yellow and orange Big Brush Pens for the stars together with acrylic paint. I used a withe pen for all the outlines and for the snow and glitter in the trees. The alphabet is this lite tiny stamps from Prima. I love how they turn out, a little awry:). The striped paper is from Jillibean Soup.

Have you done some christmascards yet? What´s your style? traditional or crazy? Mabye you should get out of your comfortzone and try something new and different this year?

Mixed media hugs

Yesterday I participated in ”One night-one challenge”, a sketchchallenge on FaceBook made by Ulrika Wandler. You can see Ulrikas sketch here. She makes beautiful and inspiring sketches, you can see them in her blogg. I have recently got glasses and this is one of the first photos on me with them on. It´s taken when the whole family is in Nynäshamn, a small town by the sea, south of Stockholm.

I have used two different mists to the background, first the red outside the stars  (I used the chipboardstar as a mask), then the blue inside the stars ( I used the rest of the chipboardstar as a stencil). I used some seashells and maritimpattern paper to match the photo.
