Art for myself- I´m good

Title: ” I like to do that wich I´m good at”

The other day I made a guest post at Art for myself. It´s fun and liberating to do a Art journaling page now and then:) This month the theme is ”I´m good”.

After I covered the page with gesso I misted with yellow and pink mist. I also used a starstencil from Dylusions and my Big Brush Pens to fill the stars in. I made a layer with modellingpaste and a punchinellastencil and I also made some  arrows with green Lumiere acrylic paint and a stencil. Some stamped stars joined to:) At last but not least some green alphabetstickers.

Project Life – week 12 and Veckans Skiss – week 16

This week we wanted to help the Spring to come so we went to the store and bought some seeds to cultivate. When we got out of the store it started to snow a lot.  We stoped by McDonalds for lunch and then of we went home to plant the seeds with the snowing outside:). Everyone was helping out and we had a great afternoon. This page is both a project life week 12 and my take on Petras beautiful sketch at Veckans Skiss this week. Check it out HERE!

The backgroundpaper is from Elles Studio. And the striped paper is a old paper from Websters Pages.

I made  arrows out of a stencil (Balzer Design for Crafters Workshop) and green acrylicpaint with glitter by Luminere, I love to work with it, the effect is awesome! .

Empty rolls is perfect ”stamps”.

I have used stickers from October Afternoon and Jillibean Soup. If you draw around the outlines with a black pen the stickers pop out more from the page.

Our beautiful big boy

This is another take on Scraplagrets cybercrop this weekend. This challenge is a ”one layer challenge” where you only use one layer on the LO. To make some depht and interest I´ve used three different mist, four different stencils, acrylic paint and some distress inks and a background stamp from Tim Holtz.

Around the photo I made a frame with white acrylic paint, added a messure strip (rub on) and some hearts. The title is stamped with alphastamps from Prima. Last but not least I added some blue/grey and red glitterglaze and black glitter glam.

Here is some close ups:

Black and red acrylic paint with two different stencils….

Red and blue/grey Glimmer glaze and black glimmer glam.In the corners of this close up you can see some of  the backgrund stamp with gridpattern from TH.

The stamped title and the messure rub on, I just love it! It´s from October afternoon. I had it for ages:).

I always add journaling on my pages. I want to documented the moment, big or small!

You should see my fingers after this , all messy with mist and paint, but it was all worth it:)!

Cultivating little seeds

This is my take for a inspirationchallenge at Scraplagrets cybercrop this Easterweekend. I have been inspired of the colorcombo, soft pastells and the feeling of fresh spring and flowers. I have used green acrylic paint together with a stencil ans yellow mist for the background. I also used some bubblewrap to ”stamp” with turqouise acrylic paint. The patterned paper, some of the decorations and the big alphas is from my latest Cocoa Daisy kit.

The page is about when we  cultivated seeds about a week ago. This page makes me long for spring. Unfortunatley the temperature is still very cold for this time a year. I hope the warm weather comes soon!

Here is some close ups:

Different mists and acrylic paints, sawing and some stickers from Echo Park

I love the corrugated alphas from Jillibean Soup…..

More paint together with springflowers

Have a nice day!

Creative Jumpstart- tag 2

Another tag with inspiration from Creative Jumpstart. This time I´ve played around with inspiration from Julie Fei-Fan Balzer. I have used different stencils together with acrylic paint, dylusionmist and inkpads in different layers to make depth. Julie is such a inspirationsource!

Mabye you have noticed that I often use a heart on my projects right now, even on this one LOL

Altered mini-album 1

A while ago I participated in a altered mini-album class att Cocoa Daisy. I learned how to create a mini-album from a ordinary book. I started with cutting out some pages in the book to get more room for decorations. Then I glued a couple of pages together to get them more sturdier. The cover was made in several layers; I first covered the whole book with white gesso, then a layer of tissuepaper and decoupageglue, on that a layer of  lightblue acrylic paint and then a layer of white acrylic paint and some Blingz for the blingbling feeling:) The last thing I did was to cover all this with a layer of decoupageglue. And then it was time to decorating…de fun part!!

In the album I have gathered all the photos my oldest son have taken by himself (he is 5 years old) during 2012. Here is the cover:

”Ottos bilder 2012″
”Ottos own photos 2012″

I took a chiboardframe and painted it with black acrylicpaint and on top a layer of 3D finish. I think the stamp is great for this opportunity, it´s from Inkadinkado. The butterflie is misted with red dylusionink

Thanks for stepping by

Christmas card in mixed media style

A couple of days ago I was challenged by Cecilia Ekström to make a christmascard in mixed media style with the colors turqouise and brown, easy peasy NOT:) but here it is:

I covered a bit of cardstock with turqouise acrylic paint. On top of that I used dylusions stencil ”Ooh christmas tree” . The stars are made of another dylusions stencil. I also used my yellow and orange Big Brush Pens for the stars together with acrylic paint. I used a withe pen for all the outlines and for the snow and glitter in the trees. The alphabet is this lite tiny stamps from Prima. I love how they turn out, a little awry:). The striped paper is from Jillibean Soup.

Have you done some christmascards yet? What´s your style? traditional or crazy? Mabye you should get out of your comfortzone and try something new and different this year?

Mixed media hugs

No time for kisses

Don´t have time for kisses”

This Lo is about my son when he was little. He was, like all children, very preoccupied with the world and he hadn´t time to stop for some kisses:). This is one of my entries for the CD cybercrop earlier this month. The challenge was to be inspired from some carnivalpictures. Here I have used acrylic paint together with a couple of stencils. The black patterned reminds me of spinningweels.

”Charmtroll”- ”Cutiepie”

This is my last entry for Scrapptorgets cybercrop. It´s a bingochallenge where I have choosen all the bingorows not just one of them, but that is all right according to the challengerules:). The background is made of a stencil and yellow acrylic paint and some mist. I have used four photos and more than 3 different patterned paper. On one of the patterned papers I have sew three crosstich by hand. The other parts from the bingorows (besides them mentioned under the closeups) are different typefaces (in the title), journaling (under the title),  twine and a tag.

Here you can see a stamp and some doodling.

Här är en stämpel och lite doodling.
