Sommartider

aosJeanysFlaska1024px

Summerchallenges – hollidayphotos

Now the summerchallenges at Veckans Skiss has started! You get two sketches this week and two sketches next week. Read all about it here!

Jennie have made a lovely sketch with the twist: use several hollidayphotos. You can see it here!

Of course I took the opportunity to make a layout based on it!

Title:” Wild kids”

Last summer we went to Furuviksparken, a park with a zoo, a funfair and a area when the recorded earlier episodes of ”Wild kids”, a adventureprogram for children. The boys was very thrilled to get there (and even me and my husband:) thought it was fun to test some of the challenges the kids does in the programs.

This diecut from Cosmo Cricket works well with this theme!

I added some tickets and used corrugated alphas from Jillibean Soup.

I used my easy stamp and my new rollstamp with cameras from Cocoa Daisy

I hope you join us!

Thanks for stopping by!

A mixed media card

Today I will show you this mixed media card I made on a  class at My Sketch World a while ago.

The background is build up with resist tequnice, stencils and three different colors of mists. I have decorated with clouds and a strip of gauze and washitape that I have wrinkle. In the corner I put some gesso and then stamped ”Thank you” with Primas alfabetstamps, I really love those fonts! I mounted it on a bigger piece of cardstock wich I stamped a border around.

This is a different card from what I use to make and at first I didn´t like how it turned out at all but over time it has grown on me and now I think it´s really nice and personal:)

Have a nice day!

Tecnique – Masking the mask

Title: ”Sommerplay”

I love those photos of my oldes son climbing at the playground last summer. I really looking forward to this summer for times like this, just take some cinnamonrolls with us and go to the playground, the boys love it and it´s a really great time for chilling and be together.

This week we where challenged at My Sketch World to make something from a tutorial at the forum. I found a tutorial about masking the mask. I used a stencil and covered some circles with washitape and then used blue mist. Then I took the tape away and paint the spots with green acrylic paint. A simpel but fun tecnique!. I recommend you to try if you don´t already have!. I added some stamps from Tim Holtz, some stripes and a flair button from Simple Stories.

Here is some close ups:

The stamped and mist background. I love flair buttons and cameras! This is a perfect matchLOL

Mist, acrylic paint and ink.

Do you challenge yourself to try a tutorial or do you just read them?

Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs!

Valentines card

Here is a Valentines card for my husband. I have made this based on a sketch at My Sketch Worlds Sketch-A-Thon. You can see the sketch Here. I have used washitape with hearts and a diecutheart from TH. The patterned craftpaper is from Amy Tangerine. The heart is misted red and stamped with music sheets.

What did you get/give at Valentinesday?

Hugs!

Altered mini-album 2

When you make a mini-album you must think of using thin embellishment. I have used die-cuts, tags, stamps and washitape. I love my easy stamp, it´s a roller stamp with a zickzack pattern. Another tip for thin embellishment is to cut out shapes from patterned paper, I did that with the little houses, they are from Bo Bunnys collection ”Alora”.

Veckans skiss vecka 43

Japp, ny vecka och ny skiss. Den här gången är det Tanja som har gjort den här härliga skissen:

Här är min tolkning av den:

”Centimeter”

I have used a backgroundpaper from My Minds Eye. The  background is painted with red and yellow acrylic paint. And then several layers of washitape and patterned papers.

I have used acrylic paint mixed with water on the butterfly.

I love this measuretape!!

Bidrag till Lillblommans skissblogg

”En stor glädjespridare”- ” a big source of happines”

English:

This is my entry for Lillbommans sketchchallenge in June. I have a yellow cardstock as a background with a wellumpaper from Websters on top of it. Instead of tags, as in the sketch, I have used patterned scrappaper with washitape in the ends instead of string.
